Richmond helps Red Devils; ACS picks up victory
Comments 0 | Recommend 0GRAHAM - Marquise Richmond put up a double-double for Graham in the Red Devils' 81-70 victory against visiting Carrboro in a non-conference boys' basketball game Tuesday night.
Richmond's performance included 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Red Devils in their season opener. Graham's Michael Wooten led all scorers with 29 points, which included connections on six 3-point attempts. Justin Cousin was the third Red Devil in double figures, scoring 13 points.
Cardin Jones led Carrboro with 18 points.
GREENSBORO DAY SCHOOL 77, WILLIAMS 59: At Greensboro, Lucas Weavil had a game-high 20 points, hitting six 3-pointers as Greensboro Day School (8-0) defeated visiting Williams in a nonconference game. Raysean Love had 19 points for the Bulldogs (2-1), nailing five 3-pointers. Ethan Carr added 15 points for Williams.
ALAMANCE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL 68, GRACE CHRISTIAN 53: At Pittsboro, Hunter Simmons and Anthony Winston compiled 17 points and 12 points, respectively, for Alamance Christian School.
CLOVER GARDEN 47, HOPEWELL ACADEMY 12: At Burlington, Job Saul had 8 points in Clover Garden's home victory.
