Eastern Randolph loses in 5 OTs

RAMSEUR - Al-Eaguan Teasley scored on a 2-yard run in the fifth overtime as visiting High Point Central squeaked by Eastern Randolph 12-6 in a non-conference high school football game Thursday night.

Eric Grant hauled in a 13-yard pass from quarterback Drew Adams to send the game into a fourth extra session for the Bison (3-0).

The teams played a scoreless regulation.

High Point Central quarterback Adams threw for 173 yards on 19-for-39 passing.

Malcolm Greene rushed for a 7-yard touchdown for Eastern Randolph in the third overtime.

The Wildcats (0-3) ran for 99 yards on 46 carries, with Khyri Crawford totaling 91 yards.

Lloyd Newman registered six tackles, one fumble recovery and one interception to anchor the defense for Eastern Randolph.

Ethan Clark had five tackles and a quarterback sack for the Wildcats. Dustin Haithcox contributed four tackles and a sack.
